Map and Compass Clinics
Wild Rock will be hosting a Map and Compass clinics, occasional Wednesdays, at 6pm, based on interest. Cost is $12 and will cover reading a topographical map, setting your compass' declination and general navigational tips and tricks. Leave your name and number, and a Wild Rock staff member will call you back when a class is ready to run.
Mt St Louis-Moonstone Ski and Snowboard Trip: Run to the Hills
Itching to get in some riding outside the Peterborough area, but not sure if you can wrangle a car for the day - or if you even want to sit behind the wheel for so long? Join Wild Rock Outfitters, Sunday March 1, 2009 for a day-trip to Mt. St. Louis-Moonstone, for just $75!*
Letters with full details and waivers for each trip are available at the front cash. Minors must have signed permission from a guardian, and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
*Includes the bus ride there and your lift pass; rentals and food are not provided.
Winter Pool Sessions
Kawartha Whitewater Paddlers is hosting weekly kayak pool sessions Saturdays, January 3 to March 21, 2009, at the Trent University Pool. Spaces are available in 90-minute blocks, at $10/session. These spaces do fill quickly, so it is recommended participants sign up well in advance.
