  • Friendly, welcoming demeanor
  • Good interpersonal and conversation skills
  • Outdoor sport or adventure involvement (backpacking, paddling, cycling, etc.)
  • 1+ years customer service experience
  • Technical knowledge of camping gear, outdoor clothing, or bike mechanics an asset
  • Computer skills
  • Point-of-sale or cashier experience an asset
  • Knowledge of local parks and trails an asset


    In the role of Adventure Facilitator, you would help us deliver outstanding customer service in our key departments - camping & paddling, bikes, and clothing & footwear.


    Daily tasks include, though aren’t limited to:

    • Greeting customers and creating an exciting and comfortable shop experience
    • Sharing knowledge about products, events, and local green spaces
    • Getting to know customers’ needs in order to make well-informed suggestions about Wild Rock merchandise, services, and community groups
    • Merchandising product on sales floor and window displays
    • Operating Wild Rock’s point of sale system and facilitating transactions
    • Helping keep Wild Rock Outfitters tidy and well-organized
    • Communicating regularly with management and awesome coworkers
    • Sharing your love of all things outdoors


    Title: Adventure Facilitator (Sales Associate for Outdoor Equipment)

    Rate of Pay: $14.25-16/hr based on experience and qualifications

    Start Date: March 1st, 2021

    End Date: August 31st, 2021
