The ComPassion Project 8-Hour Relay returns to Kawartha Nordic on Sunday January 26, 2025!


Come out for a fun filled day of skiing, socializing, food, fun, and supporting a great cause. This annual event is now in its fourth year, and together we have raised over $40k for local charities!
This year, we're pulling out all the stops with a goal of raising $35,000 for the six partner organizations of the Wild Rock ComPassion Project!

About the Relay

The Relay is not a traditional relay! There are three loop options (9km, 8km, and 3km), and each skier or team chooses the loop (or loops) they wish to ski. You can ski by yourself, or challenge your co-workers, family or friends as a team.
Skiers can take on the full 8 hour event, or spend a portion of the day on the trails. This event is friendly to all ages, from kids to seniors.

How to Engage With the Relay

There are four ways to engage with the Relay, whether you wish to ski or just support participants:

Donate to the relay through CanadaHelps

Ski

Registration is a two step process:
  1. Register for the event on Zone 4
  2. Register to fundraise on Canada Helps

Volunteer

Help with registration, volunteer as we serve lunch to skiers, or assist with setup or tear down. Sign up to volunteer here.

Support

Come ski at Kawartha Nordic between the hours of 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday, January 26 and cheer on our relay skiers!
