TRADE-IN TERMS
LAST UPDATED: September 2, 2025
Wild Rock Outfitters, via the Wild Again trade-in program, is offering you the opportunity to trade in your used outdoor gear.
HOW IT WORKS
Wild Again inspects the gear you provide through the trade-in program and exchanges accepted gear for credit. You will receive a “Trade-In Processed Notice” from Wild Again when your trade-in has been processed, which shall confirm which gear has been accepted or rejected, and the credit payout for any accepted gear.
Trade-ins can be made in-store or online. In-store trade-ins will receive credit issued as in-store credit, which can be used for purchases solely in-store. Online trade-ins will receive credit issued as an online gift card, which can be used solely for purchases at wildrock.net.
SHIPPING AND RISK OF LOSS
If you choose to mail in your trade-in gear, you may purchase either:
A) A shipping label only (you provide your own packaging); or
B) A shipping label with packaging supplied by Wild Again.
By participating in any shipment facilitated by Wild Again, you agree that:
A) Courier Responsibility: Once the gear has been tendered to the designated courier, the shipment is subject to that courier’s terms and conditions. If a package is lost or damaged in transit, Wild Again can open a claim with the courier on your behalf. Compensation will only be provided if, and to the extent that, the claim is accepted and compensation is received from the courier.
B) Tracking Number Requirement: You are required to retain the tracking number provided with your shipping label. If you fail to retain and provide the tracking number, Wild Again may be unable to initiate a courier claim, and you may forfeit any right to compensation for gear not received.
C) Notice of Lost or Damaged Shipments: You must notify Wild Again of any suspected lost or damaged shipment within3 days of the expected delivery date shown in the courier’s tracking information. Failure to provide timely notice may forfeit your right to compensation.
D) Packaging:
i) If you purchased only a label, you are responsible for providing adequate packaging and securely packing your gear.
ii) If you purchased packaging from Wild Again, you are responsible for following the provided packing instructions. Wild Again is not liable for damage caused by improper use of the provided packaging.
Wild Again will not provide compensation for gear that is lost or damaged in transit before it is received and assessed by our team, unless such loss or damage is compensated under a successful courier claim.
ACCEPTANCE CONDITIONS
Only gear that meets Wild Again’s quality standards is accepted for trade-in. Any gear may be rejected for any reason. Each piece of gear will be assessed by Wild Again to confirm that:
A) it falls within one of our accepted condition tiers (Barely Used, Lightly Used, or Moderately Used);
B) it has been freshly cleaned and fully dried prior to submission;
C) it does not show holes, stains, delamination, pilling, shrinkage, fraying, pulled threads, stretched or worn elastic, UV-damage or other significant signs of wear;
D) it is authentic; and
E) it meets all of the representations and warranties you make in the “Your Representations, Warranties, and Indemnification” section below.
COUNTERFEIT OR STOLEN GEAR
Wild Again complies with all applicable laws regarding counterfeit or stolen goods. If we suspect that any gear is counterfeit or unlawfully obtained, we may reject it in our sole discretion and may provide information to brand owners or law enforcement if requested.
RECLAIMING GEAR
Rejected Gear: You must reclaim rejected gear within 7 days of the Trade-In Processed Notice. After 7 days, rejected gear will be considered unreclaimed and will be handled under the “Unreclaimed Gear Becomes Property of Wild Again” section below.
Accepted Gear: You may reclaim accepted gear within 7 days of the Trade-In Processed Notice, unless the gear has already sold. Any credit that you received for your gear will be deducted from your credit balance. If your balance does not have sufficient credit to cover the deduction, you will be required to pay the difference.
You are responsible for any fees associated with reclaiming gear, including but not limited to shipping fees.
UNRECLAIMED GEAR BECOMES PROPERTY OF WILD AGAIN
Any gear that is not reclaimed within the stated timeframe will be considered unreclaimed, and ownership will transfer to Wild Again without compensation. Wild Again may repair, recycle, resell, or otherwise dispose of unreclaimed gear at its sole discretion. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we aim to direct unreclaimed gear toward reuse or recycling initiatives to reduce waste.
CREDIT PAYOUTS
Once your trade-in has been processed, you will receive credit for any accepted gear. You will not receive any credit for rejected gear. The list of categories and brands we accept, along with the credit estimates on that list, are updated from time to time. Please check the current list.
Credit payouts are typically 10–25% of the estimated new value of the gear, as determined solely by Wild Again. Your payout will be based on the brand, category, and condition of the gear, and will typically fall within the ranges provided on our credit estimate list.
Wild Again may provide an estimate or quote of potential trade-in credit value based on information provided by you. All estimates and quotes are non-binding. The final credit payout may differ from the initial estimate or quote, depending on the actual condition, functionality, and eligibility of the gear, as assessed by our team.
TITLE TO PROPERTY
You will continue to own and have title to each piece of gear until the gear has been accepted, or the “Reclaim Rejected Gear” window for rejected gear has expired. Title will immediately transfer to Wild Again upon acceptance of your gear for trade-in in exchange for credit, at Wild Again’s sole discretion. If you reclaim accepted gear in accordance with these Trade-In Terms, title to that gear shall revert to you once the credit value has been deducted from your account or repaid.
YOUR REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES, AND INDEMNIFICATION
You hereby confirm and guarantee that:
A) you are the lawful owner of each piece of gear submitted and have full authority to trade it in;
B) no gear is subject to any liens, security interests, or other restrictions;
C) no gear is stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise unlawful to transfer; and
D) no gear infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
PAYOUT AND OTHER DISPUTES
If there is a dispute between you and Wild Again or Wild Rock, Wild Again and Wild Rock will have no obligation to pay any payout or other amounts due to you, including without limitation amounts unrelated to the dispute, unless and until the dispute is resolved. Wild Again and Wild Rock may withhold any credit payouts due to you (including any due for accepted gear not subject to the dispute) in full or partial satisfaction of any amounts you owe to Wild Again or Wild Rock.
TERMINATION
All of the terms outlined here are effective unless and until terminated by either you or Wild Again. You agree that Wild Again, in its sole discretion, may suspend or terminate your account (or any part thereof) or your use of our trade-in program at any time. Any suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity that may be grounds for termination of your use of our trade-in program may be referred to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
You agree that any termination of your access to our trade-in program may be effected without prior notice, and acknowledge and agree that Wild Again may immediately bar any further access to the trade-in program. Further, you agree that Wild Again shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the trade-in program.
Upon termination of these terms, all rights granted to you will terminate and revert to Wild Again.
CHANGES
We may revise these Trade-In Terms, our policies, and/or the trade-in program at any time. Any changes or modifications to the trade-in program and/or policies will be effective upon posting of the revisions. Your use of the trade-in program following any change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these Trade-In Terms as revised. At our discretion, we may also notify you of certain changes by sending an email to the address associated with your account. You are responsible for providing us with your current email address. Please regularly check the Trade-In Terms to view the then-current terms.
GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
If there is a dispute between you and Wild Again or Wild Rock, these Trade-In Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
