Without a doubt, Doubes bridge is one of the most beautiful spots in the Kawarthas. Accessible only by bike or on foot from the closest road-crossing, the bridge itself is both tranquil and breathtaking. The route is almost exclusively on the Trans Canada Trail, which is both car-free and almost flat.
The trail surface is typical “crushed limestone” so suitable for almost all types of bikes.
For those wishing to explore further, riders can continue on the Trans Canada Trail to the towns of Omemee (46km return) Lindsay (80km return).
