The challenge we put to local riders is to explore beyond habitual rides; to ride some of the quiet, rarely visited roads that make our region special. Each of the routes we have selected is challenging but with each hill, riders are rewarded with both great views and a deep sense of accomplishment.
This route is for riders feeling up to something special! Here, we have linked all of our favourite sections into one spectacular ride. The Ultimate Small Roads Challenge route takes riders through wooded trails, over challenging hills and explores gravel back-roads to lakeside views and more. Over 120km with 1500m of elevation gain this route showcases the very best of what our region has to offer.
