FAQ
What films are you showing? We don't know yet. The festival happens in Banff every November. The best films go on tour. Also, we do not choose exactly which films will be shown until 1-2 days ahead of the festival itself.
We do not advertise which films will be viewed ahead of time.
How long are the films? Films range anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes. The evening will be approximately 2.5-3 hours long with an intermission.
Are the films about Banff? This is an international film festival and films are submitted from all over the world. The range from amateur to professional.
Are these high adrenaline films? Sometimes yes, but this is more of a general audience film festival with highs and lows in regards to excitement or suspense. There is always a documentary style film each night and it is usually the longest film.
Is this festival suitable for children? This is an adult film festival and bringing children is up to the parents. As mentioned, there are highs and lows and sometimes the films cover serious subjects. Not all films have a happy ending. The films can be funny or very serious depending on the subject matter.
Subtitles? Yes, some films will have subtitles. It's an international film festival.
Door Prizes? Yes, door prizes will be given at the end of the intermission.
Can tickets be picked up at the show if purchased in advance online? Yes.
