1) Check how much your gear is worth
Get a quick estimate of your gear's eligibility and value. Our staff will asses your gear when you bring it in.
2) Clean & inspect your gear
Make sure your gear is clean, complete, and in good shape before bringing it in.
3) Bring in your gear
We'll assess your gear in person, and issue in-store credit for your next adventure. You can bring in your gear anytime Wild Rock is open.
How It Works
Prep your gear
We only take gear that is clean and in good condition, from great outdoor brands. Before you send your gear:
- Check the brands & categories we accept.
- Empty Pockets: Remove all personal items from pockets and compartments.
- Clean Thoroughly: Wash or clean your gear following the manufacturer's instructions. Use unscented detergent when applicable. Tip: If it’s been in storage, give it a fresh wash—even if you cleaned it last season.
- Inspect for Wear: Examine your gear for any signs of wear. Refer to our Gear Inspection Guide for guidelines.
Bring it in
Head to the Wild Again trade-in desk near the back of the store. We’ll assess most gear on the spot—or you can leave it, and we’ll follow up with your credit.
* Large hauls or gear that needs setup (like tents, pads, or stoves) may take a few extra days to assess.
Get credit, go shopping
If your gear is accepted, you'll receive in-store credit, which can be used immediately to shop for both new and used gear, or donated to the ComPassion Project.
