Welcome to the 2026 Peterborough ComPassion Ride! Presented by the Peterborough Cycling Club (PCC) and Wild Rock Outfitters, this event combines adventure, teamwork, and community support. The primary goal is to enjoy the amazing local roads with friends while raising funds for The ComPassion Project Peterborough.

• Date/Time: July 25th. Staggered start times, starting at 7:00am, and wrapping up by 5:00pm.
• Base Camp Location: Douro Park North (205 Douro Second Line, Douro-Dummer, ON K0L 1S0).
• The Format: This is a 100% self-supported, team-based ride. Teams must consist of 2 to 8 riders and designate a Team Captain. Start times are staggered based on your chosen distance and estimated speed so that everyone finishes around the same time.
• The Checkpoint System: Every route uses a checkpoint system to prove completion before leading back to a shared celebratory base camp.
• Post-Ride Celebration: Relax at the finish line with local food!

Registration Details

Ready to ride? Please read the following details carefully before registering your team.

• Entry Fee: $50 per rider.
• Membership: Peterborough Cycling Club (PCC) membership is not required to participate.
• Deadline: Pre-registration is mandatory and closes 2 days prior to the event. There is no day-of registration.
• The "Distance Match" Fundraising Goal: Teams are encouraged to set a fundraising goal matching their combined team distance. For example, a team of 4 tackling the 100km route rides a combined 400km, making their suggested goal $400+.

The "Self-Sufficient" Rule (Crucial)

• This is not a guided tour; it is an adventure.
• Organizers will not provide sag wagons, mechanic vehicles, or on-course hydration and food stations.
• Only "natural" outside help (like stopping at a gas station or café to buy supplies) is permitted.
• If a rider cannot finish, the team is 100% responsible for arranging their own pickup and transport. A support driver is available for serious emergencies only.

Choose Your Route

• Route 1: The "Wayfinder Epic" (160km): A thrilling, blind-navigation adventure on paved, gravel, and unassumed dirt roads. Features 5 physical checkpoints plus 1 at the finish. Teams receive the next ~30km segment's data only after reaching the current checkpoint.
• Route 2: The "Paved Century" (100km): A fast, low-elevation, 100% paved route. The full route is provided upfront. Features 5 Photo Checkpoints where teams snap a group selfie.
• Route 3: The "Mixed Surface Explorer" (55km): A paved and gravel route featuring blind wayfinding. Teams collect the second half of the route at the halfway mark. Features 4 Photo Checkpoints.
• Route 4: The "Beginner Cruise" (35km): Approachable, easy rolling terrain perfect for casual riders and families. The full route is provided upfront. Features 4 Photo Checkpoints.
