Order shipping supplies, pack up your gear, and send it to us. You can get a detailed quote during this process.
Drop It Off
Bring your gear to the store—our staff will walk you through the process and give you a detailed quote.
1) Check what we accept
We accept outdoor clothing, footwear, and gear from curated brands, as long as they are:
- From an accepted brand & category
No under or face garments, safety equipment, or consumables.
- Freshly cleaned & in good condition
No pilling, fading, shrinking, stains, pet hair, holes, delamination, or odours.
- Undamaged & unaltered
No missing tags, missing or broken parts, or alterations.
2) Prepare your gear
Items that do not meet our acceptance criteria may receive no credit. Before you bring in or send in your gear:
- Empty Pockets
Remove all personal items from pockets and compartments. - Clean Thoroughly
Wash or clean your gear following the manufacturer's instructions. Use unscented detergent when applicable.
Tip: If it's been in storage, give it a fresh wash—even if you cleaned it last season. - Inspect for Wear
Examine your gear for any signs of wear.
3) We assess your gear
Our team will assess your gear and assign one of three condition levels. Your trade-in credit is based on the item’s brand, category, and condition:
- Barely Used
New or like-new — No signs of wear, looks brand new.
- Lightly Used
Used a handful of times — Minor signs of wear, but still in great shape.
- Moderately Used
Used regularly — Normal signs of wear, but still fully functional.
4) Get credit, go shopping
Unlike consignment, you receive your credit as soon as we accept your gear—no need to wait for it to sell. Use your credit to shop for something new, or explore the curated Wild Again collection.
- Mail-In Trade-Ins
Credit is issued as an online gift card for wildrock.net.
- In-Store Trade-Ins
Credit is issued as in-store credit for our Peterborough location.
- Support the community
Credit can be donated to the ComPassion Project, which funds local social and environmental initiatives.
