We are excited! We’ve launched something big that’s built on a simple but important idea:

We know that many of you (and us!) have stuff tucked away that wants a second chance. Wild Again makes it easy to pass along the high-quality gear you’re no longer using — so someone else can take it on their next adventure.

It’s better for our planet. Better for our community. Better for your gear closet.

How to Trade In Your Gear

1. Gather your gear
   We’re taking clean, lightly-used outdoor gear and apparel.

2. Drop it off
   Bring your items to the Wild Rock trade-in desk — no appointment needed.
3. Get rewarded
   We’ll assess your gear and give you instant store credit (usually 10–25% of the estimated new price).
   Prefer to pay it forward? You can donate your credit value to Wild Rock’s ComPassion Project, which is making the Peterborough region a better place to live and play.

It’s fast. It’s easy. And it feels good.

As you can see, this isn’t a consignment or peer-to-peer program. Just bring it in, and we’ll take care of the rest.

*Some items—like tents, sleeping pads, or stoves—require testing or setup to assess. For those, we’ll need a few days to confirm your trade-in credit.

How to Shop for Used Gear

Wild Again is now open in the Wild Rock basement, where you’ll find a curated mix of used gear and apparel—hand-checked, fairly priced, and ready for its next trip outside.

And you’ll even see some “Open Box” items – sample products brought in from our suppliers.

Why We Built This

We’ve always believed in protecting the places we play, taking many actions over the years to reduce the negative environmental impact of our operations.

But we also know that the products we sell carry their own footprint. Extraction of resources and the associated production of outdoor gear takes a toll—and far too often, these items get tossed before their time.

Wild Again helps keep well-made gear in use longer—so there’s less waste, less overproduction, and more access to great equipment for everyone.

Where We’re Going

This is just the beginning.

Soon, you’ll be able to trade in or shop Wild Again online—from anywhere.

And as the program grows, we’re looking at expanding into more categories and brands to keep even more great gear in play.
